The agricultural sector responds difficult conditions due to the climate change
The agricultural sector faces a big challenge. In the year of 2050 there will be more than nine million people living on earth, who have to be nourished and supplied with raw materials. Due to the increasing drynesses and erosion, increased surface productivity will only by possible by careful cultivation.
Innovative concepts and solutions as well as the accompanying technology were presented on the agricultural engineering fair "Agritechnica" from the 8th to 14th of November in Hanover.
Timo Seggelmann, branch manager of SALT AND PEPPER in Osnabrück summarized after his visit of the world-wide biggest agricultural fair:
"The development in the agricultural technology progresses rapidly and the industry adapts itself to the climate change."
There is an enormous progress within the range of irrigation management, cultivation and seed.
The Agritechnica takes place every two years in Hanover and is with approximately 350.000 professional visitors world-wide one of the most important industry meeting points in the fields of agricultural engineering.
